Hoyos conectados is a hand-built ceramic sculpture formed through an interconnected network of irregular openings. Rather than beginning with a solid mass, the piece is constructed around empty space: looping ceramic forms meet, overlap, and support one another to create a porous structure. The dark, glossy surface emphasizes the continuous lines of clay, while light passing through the openings constantly changes the sculpture depending on the angle from which it is viewed.
